Easter Fun

Here is Joe when he found his Easter basket. Once he saw it, he ran straight to it. I just loved his Easter outfit this year, and by golly, pouring rain or not, we were wearing it to church!!!
Even though we had to hunt eggs inside, it was still so awesome watching him when he finally saw the eggs. I had to "help" him find their general locale, but then he did the actual finding!

After church (and a quick change of clothes), we went to MeMaw's. The Easter bunny had also visited there, and Joe was happy to find some "bish" in his basket.
At our 3rd stop, Mimi's house, that busy bunny had been there, too! Joe received a carrot golf club, harmonica and a bird whistle. I had to snap a quick picture of him in these bunny ears. He is my biggest blessing!

Mother's Little Helper

Joe and I had some fun filling the feeders today. The weather turned beautiful for a change. I didn't think he'd want to carry the feeder all the way across the yard, but he managed pretty well. It only ended up slightly less full than when we started! My boy sure does love being outside. He has just started going to the door and saying "side! side!" And, all heck breaks loose if he sees either Dan or I go outside without him. We have resorted to sneaking outside while he's in the other room!!!

Future Z Car Owner

I just know Dan is hoping Joe will be as into cars as he is. Looks like he might be on his way already!

1st Pony Ride

Joe's friend, Miles, turned 3 last week and had a "farm" party at Hillcrest park. It was complete with chicks & ducks and a pony ride. Joe played and played and played. He is pretty fearless...would climb up on the equipment and plunge headfirst down the slide. Dan and I had to run to stop him from flying off at the bottom. What a hoot. Enjoy the pics from the day!

Joe did great until the pony sneezed...then he was ready to hang up his spurs!

It's a good thing my husband teaches on the North side of town...Joe will fit right in with his bling, shades & juice. I took this while driving. Perhaps not smart, but totally worth it! (and I did at least slow down a little while doing it)

Bad, Bad Blogger

So now I'm thinking I'm the worst blogger ever! It's been forever since I posted anything...Joe & I have both been sick, school's been busy, and I haven't even had time to upload my photos from my camera to the computer. Oh well, that's life, I guess! Here are some shots from the last month or so.
Joe is an outdoors boy. Cries when someone goes outside without him. Cries when you make him go inside. What can I say...The boy loves sticks and dirt (as he should).

Dog! Dog! Joe's word for all furry four-footed creatures. This is Mimi's new puppy, Bella. Note the tiny tennis ball in Joe's hand. It's supposed to be for Bella, not him!
With the wacky Arkansas weather, we've been able to go to the park sporadically. This is Joe and his friend, Miles, playing. Miles' mom, Ellen, was one of my college roommates. I need to get Joe a cute ball cap like that!

That catches us up for now. I hold high hopes I can be a better blogger from now on! :)

Snow Day/Sick Day Fun

As everyone around here knows, we were out of school for two days due to inclement weather last week. However, our Joe Harrison was also sick during that time (and the few days before) so either Dan or I would have been off anyway. But we couldn't let Joe miss out on playing in the snow, even if it was only for about 10 minutes.

Dan's inability to do anything but make silly faces when I take pictures is frustrating to me, but at least Joe looks cute!

This outfit was a hand-me-down from my nephew Nash. I had no idea the hood would stick straight up like that. It was hilarious. Joe looked a little like a Teletubbie (if you remember those dreaded children's show characters).

Of course, Jasper the Wonderlab got in on the snow action, too!
