Happy Mother's Day to me! Dan & Joe got me a great swing for our backyard. Here is my fearless hubby on the huge ladder hanging up the chains for the swing. Thanks to my Father-in-law for spotting him.
I'm sure Dan will appreciate this close up shot of him. It is so very flattering. :)
Seriously, though, I have to say that I feel very lucky to have married into a family with a carpenter FIL, interior decorator MIL, plumber BIL, & painter Hubby! All I have to do is pick colors and they run with it!Here are the two hard workers after finishing their project. Dan keeps saying he will take a picture of me in MY new swing, but somehow it hasn't happened yet...hmmm. But, I have already done quite a bit of "swangin'" since Sunday, and it is fabulous. I can see me out there watching Joe play all summer long! Being a Mom is a great side job!

Let The Sunshine In
We have been loving the sunshine! Here is Joe on the "steps of death" as we call them around our house. He's got his little rake, ready to do some yardwork. Little does he know that Dan will truly have him slaving away in just a few years....to "build character." :)
I think he might be thinking, "Mom! It's too bright for you to make me look up for a picture!"

New Years Resolution
I am really going to get with this blogging thing. I will be posting more often in 2010. I repeat, I will be posting more often in 2010. (if you say it twice, it makes it more official, right?) Now I KNOW I said that in my last post, but this time is for real!!!
Here are a few snapshots of the latest events in the Griggs's household.
John McCain & Sarah Palin attended our annual Halloween party.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...and it came true!
Playing in the snow with Daddy.
Thank you, 2009, for being so good to our family. Although there were some sad times, it was overall a really wonderful year for all of us.
